Landing into this section means your Netgear extender red LED is quite a serious error.

In such a case, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Check whether your Wifi extender is connecting to the internet or not. In case, you still find red LED blinking on extender, refer the guide wifi extender not connecting to Internet.
  2. Open Netgear extender settings from a browser window.
  3. Go to mywifiext.net settings and disable the network band 5.0 GHz.
Note: No doubt 5 GHz has faster speed than 2.4 GHz, but it has shorter range. And, if your extender is trying to connect over 5 GHz then, there are chances that it is on the edge of the extender’s range.
  4. Save the settings and now restart your router, extender, and device connected.

With this, you can see solid green light flashing on 2.4 GHz network band.

At last, if nothing works reset Netgear extender and begin the setup process from the scratch.
